Destination Wedding of Charlene & Aaron at Villa Bologna - Malta

 Wedding in Malta

It is one thing to be commissioned to photograph a wedding in Northern Ireland, but when you meet a beautiful bride to be at a wedding you are shooting and she asks "will you come to Malta to photograph my wedding at Villa Bologna?" I was playing it cool while inside your thinking off course I want to be there especially shooting your wedding you guys are awesome! Thank you Charlene & Aaron for letting me share your special wedding day it truly was everything I imagined it would be and more.

Charlene & Aaron hand on heart are so lovely and what an amazing wedding they had at Villa Bologna in Malta and I am so happy for them. They tied the knot with around 35-40 guests travelling from Northern Ireland to make special memories with them, at after a beautiful day they danced the night away under the stars in the incredible grounds of the venue.

This wedding had it all, beautiful couple, sun, sea and a 17th century Villa which was incredible. Malta is a very beautiful island with lovely people and it will hold a special memory for me but even more for Charlene & Aaron, congratulations you two!

One of my most favourite memories of this beautiful wedding had to be the first look shared between the bride and groom which they kindly permitted me to be there to record the moment. I had suggested the first look to Charlene & Aaron and they loved the thought of sharing that first time seeing each other alone. The image below of Charlene walking up to Aaron still makes me emotional even now looking at it, thats what I love about wedding photography, moments in time captured to remain forever. Just before Charlene & Aaron shared their first look I placed them on each side of the corner of the villa wall so they could talk to each other but not see each other yet. They had written letters to each other which was another beautiful authentic moment, although Charlene was too emotional to read her letter to Aaron which spoke all the words that needed to be said.

I could have spent a week photographing at Villa Bologna and still not get around all the beautiful features. It truly was magnificent and a credit to Jasper and the team, and also how they looked after the wedding and guests so well thank you!!

Carlsberg don't do weddings, but if they did they would probably be just like this.
